Our farm is on a piece of land between a valley of homes and the railroad tracks with a beautiful view of the Rocky Mountain Front Range. Upon our arrival, the animals that live here scattered out. With time, the space lessened between us.
Then one day I walked to the barn, rabbits where there before the door. As I got closer, they froze... I froze. I was within 12” of a wild hare. Their coats have magnificent tan and black hairs with a touch of rust and gold. They match the dry grass with a glance.
Now morning, noon and night the wild rabbits and I share the land.
