Visiting a local farm is an experience the whole family can enjoy. Even though I have my own little farm, it's fun to visit friends and see their crops and animals. I had a mind tickling joyful experience just recently visiting some friends who's children raise chickens. They are free range and at night the kids call them in. With one call the whole flock comes running, wings flapping at their sides towards you. It brings a smile just thinking how smart these little ones are... both the kids and the chickens! This is a great time of year to look for your local Community Supported Agriculture Farms, especially if green space is limited where you live. Families can join local CSA's and share in the harvest as well as the work/fun. Spring is on it's way!
