As we approach spring one of the signs of it's arrival is a change in the light. In the barn the light tells the horses to shed, sometimes sooner than the weather supports. Spring is a season of approach and retreat. One day the sun's warmth brings us all a sigh of relief then suddenly you are walking in snow again. Blanket the horses? No blankets tonight?
Flo is a Buckskin few spot appaloosa with lightning bolts on her legs. She has a wonderful head. In this afternoon light you can see the shape undefined...
... and see her shadow cast on the wall.
As she walks towards me she casts her body shape on the side of the barn...
... and steps over patterns on the ground. Flo and this farm are the dreams of my childhood just recently realized. Never quit dreaming, you never know when they will arrive.
