After using our game bag for the past couple of weeks we realized there was something missing... a checkers board! Because really, what is summer without a great game of checkers outdoors at a picnic table or in a park?
So, we rummaged through the bits and pieces of fabric we had around the house....
... and we made this simple fabric checkerboard. Since it is always more fun to find new game pieces than to keep track of ones that come with a set, we didn't bother to make any knowing that we could always just play with sticks or rocks or feathers... or lemons and limes.
And with all of that lovely citrus around, we couldn't help setting up a little limeade stand while we were at it.
Ginger Limeade ... this one is amazing with a little dusting of cumin!
