Iggy is now four months old and can be led with his mom or by himself. He is also enjoying new pastures as we chase the last of the summer grass.
Each new pasture is a new place. With that comes excitement... where is this? what's that? Sometimes there is too much excitement and it takes a minute to settle down.
Placing my arm over his withers gives him the sign all is OK.
A hug from me, is more for me than Iggy...
Then he notices mom and starts a day of grazing...
... he is growing up becoming a horse... no longer just a colt.
I have raised four children and shared life with two more by heart. Fall to me brings growth. It is a different kind from spring and summer which are so filled with anticipation, energy. This growth is reflective... soft. Nature gives us all a wonderful rhythm to grow by.
