There is nothing more enchanting in the eye of this beholder...

... than a snow covered sheep's nose. It's cold but we are all outside each day with the temperature determining the length of time. The sheep can stay out the longest because their wool is so long and thick this time of year.

Dear TT "Titania" is our oldest and mother or grandmother to many in our little herd.  She always seems to like to have her picture taken.

This has been a very snowy and cold winter so far...  but even so, there are no runny noses here and all are happy and healthy!

As the year winds down and many of the main festivities have come and gone, we are making a point to celebrate every last moment of 2009... moving slowly and appreciating all of the quiet and calm it has to offer.  This week we will be sharing snapshots of those precious moments.

Flo is a dear dear friend. We started sharing life when she was two years old and full of spit and vinegar.  At nine she is a wise old friend who watches over me. When I am having trouble getting the sheep in and the boarder collies are not around I will ask her for help, I say "bring the sheep in" and off she goes coming back with them all running before her!

What I love is that with time we are comfortable with each other,  always remembering she is a flight animal and that a sound or the activity around us can affect her actions.

Yet there are moments when she will rest her muzzle in my hand with the full weight of her head and just look at me....  you can feel and see it in her eyes... love, gratitude, happiness... between both her and I.

Hoping with the holiday season upon us that you find love, gratitude and happiness where you are,  with both four legged friends and two... remembering just a look, a pat or a smile can be the most wondrous gift of all....
