Oberon is one of our rams, he is Titania's son the ewe that loves to have her picture taken. His barn name is Obie.
He is quite commanding with just a wonderful face and magnificent horns, four perfectly placed on his head.
He is a ram and depending on the cycle of the moon and just life circumstances he can be crabby and sometimes dangerous. Obie loves to fight just like the Elk and the Bighorn Sheep, I think any animal with horns likes to lock horns every so often.
I don't, so we have created diversions for him and one is to learn tricks. Obie will jump, he will paw with one foot and then the other when asked, he loves hay to be thrown into his stall when he is done and if I don't feed him quickly enough in the morning you will find him doing tricks to tell you to hurry up!!
When we shear him once a year I am reminded that under all that wool and those big horns he really is not so big, but he is still a wild animal to be respected and given space.
