This very little hare is just waking up with sleepy eyes and a...
... small stretch. All little ones go through those same moments as they wake... two legged or four, I wonder if our feathered friends do too?
Their burrows are under the barn floor. When they are old enough to emerge from their nests, under the watchful eyes of their moms, they begin to learn to forage for food.
These are cherished quiet moments before the start of the day...
Remember to never handle wildlife,
nor interfere with their daily lives. They need to stay as wild as
possible to survive.
If you sit quietly though, it is such fun to watch the wild babies of spring appear, even if simply in your own backyard or nearby park... or you can see some amazing animal perspectives in the wonderful videos found here.
