Going out to graze isn't as easy as it sounds, what with draft horses, horses and of course Nellie the goat, the sheep have a lot to navigate.
The little rams need time to learn about grazing, what to eat and what not, their mom's show them that...
... who's feet to stay away from, I help out with that...
Usually after a few supervised outings all settles down. On this particular morning I caught Ferdinand repeatedly sticking out his tongue at all the new tastes, I have never seen that before. It just made me laugh.
Ferdinand was born so small that his mouth was not big enough to nurse and I bottle fed him his mom's milk. He has now caught up in size and apparently loves using his tongue for expression.
The little ones in need of help always seem to develop interesting personalities, or maybe all the animals on Bryn Du Farm are characters...
... because they are loved so...
