Even as school days are slowly creeping up, summer still has a few lazy afternoons left in her to share...
... filled with butterfly watching...
... and card game crafting.
Rather than live with the restrictions of a traditional deck of cards or the specificity of alternative sets (like "Uno" and "Go Fish") we decided the ultimate universal card deck was exactly what we needed to play every game we could ever imagine.
From action prompted games to...
... nature study "go fish"...
... and so much more.
The best part by far though, is that this deck never runs out of great ideas... well, at least not until you do...
Happy game inventing!
How to Make a Universal Card Deck:
1. Click here for a game card face template we designed (after you click on the link you will need to drag it to your desktop and open it from there). It will print out easily on standard 8.5 x 11 card stock printer paper.
2. Cut out cards along the dotted lines.
3. Stamp, draw, paint collage etc. the unprinted sides of the cards (these should all be the same/similar since they are the back sides of the cards)
4. Draw, stamp, paint collage etc. the printed side of the cards in the open spaces with numbers, nature study drawings, symbols, action suggestions etc. as needed for any game you can possible imagine.
5. Have Fun!!
