The list of Mother Nature's mysteries is a long one...
Billowing forward, towering high into the air, storm clouds, especially the severe ones, put on quite a show. Sometimes they look like mushrooms, sometimes like tall pillars in the air, and sometimes they turn...
...green. No one really knows why this happens. Some speculate that it has to
do with the interaction of moisture in the clouds and the
low reddish sunlight of evening.
But one thing most weather people agree on is that the appearance of these garish looking clouds means trouble... usually in the form of large hail or even tornadoes.
Although quite beautiful and fascinating to look at, be careful! Make sure you are in a safe location when severe storms come rolling in...
... at least until the sky begins to clear.
