Boo? Boo Who? Iggy is now just called Boo..
... his barn name is officially Boo, many horses have two names their formal name and their barn name.
The sound of "Boo" brings out a softer side in him which helps me in working with this stud colt.. sometimes he can be quite a handful.
So Iggy is now Boo which seems fitting because he is also an "Appaloosa Ghost" a term used to describe horses of this breed that are mostly white and because they looked like ghosts to those who first bred the Appaloosa.
Boo is now 17 months old and the size of a two year old, he is going to be big which makes sense since his favorite pastime is eating!
He used to like to bite but that phase is slowly passing (thank goodness!). Stud colts are more mouthy then filly's. In the wild they are bred to fight and protect their herd and biting is one of the tools that they use. Iggy can be seen often with his mane flying...
With Halloween approaching and a ghost horse by the name of Boo it seems like we're already ready for trick-or-treating!
Let's just hope he remembers to go for the candied apples and not my coat!
To Boo!
