The Full Harvest Moon, which every two out of three years comes in September, arrived this year in October and with it's arrival it brought an element of "we are out of control" here on the farm.
The young rams born on Easter morning have been best of friends until this Harvest Moon. It brought with it fighting and we are not quite out of it yet. Ferdinand has lost part of one of his horns.
All the mares are cranky, Iggy thinks he is a grown up man and even the ewes are fighting. Not all sheep fight, but Jacob sheep have large horns and with it come the tendency to get into mischief. I can't wait till this Full Harvest Moon wanes.
Winter is around the corner, time to get prepared...
