It is safe to say that much of this week's posts have had to do with the moon, or the night sky, and with good reason...
... our universe is endlessly entertaining and fun to learn about! Which is exactly why I love A Child's Introduction to the Night Sky written by Michael Driscoll with wonderful illustrations by Meredith Hamilton. This book doesn't skimp on information, especially for a book aimed at kids, yet at the same time presents the information in an easy and fun to learn format...
...I love the mix or hard facts and interesting myths such as why the constellations, Scorpio and Orion, are never in the sky at the same time. The illustrations also make the book great to read with wonderful details of each of the seasons' night skies, constellations, meteors and so much more...
I love astronomy, and admittedly greet the sky each night with a "hello friends!", which is why I love wonderful and educational books like this one...
... and I am quite sure you will love it too!
For a chance to win a copy of this lovely book, simply leave a comment on this post by 12pm MST Wednesday October 27th. The winner will be chosen by random number and announced Thursday October 28th.
