The Full Harvest Moon has waned and all are happy again on the farm. Sky greets me with a whinny each morning as I walk down the hill to the barn.
The wild hare, Split Ear, Crook and Patch are there every morning they have all had an injury in the wild and now have their homes close to the barn. Each morning they show up to eat the dropped hay in front.
As I walk into the barn I am met with each animal looking at me with their big eyes, wondering when I am going to give them their hay and fresh water (sometimes even squeezing under the stalls to reach a few tender morsels before their turn). I reassure them, saying "please be patient, there are more of you then of me..."
Some mornings go easily some are a little more work, Nellie the Goat has decided she will not stay in her stall and goes wondering about through the barn at night. Some mornings she greets me with her wonderful innocent eyes and disarray all around her saying who me?
Iggy always has a sleepy face, he is growing and that requires a lot of rest.
Flo greets me last and by the time I reach her she is talking, I never know if she is saying hurry up or what took you so long?
To Happy Farm Mornings...
