A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of visiting the Pacific Northwest where they had just had a snowstorm. Power had been knocked out for two days when I arrived and it was cold inside and out. With very little difference between being outside or in, it only made sense to get out and explore...
... which is how I came to love the Northwest's (almost) winter weather. I am so used to the snowy drifts of the Rocky Mountains, that I had forgotten what winter looks like in other places.
This excitement led me to investigate, to get closer, and to really sink into the amazing beauty of the Pacific Northwest...
...and the wonderful and contrast between snow and sea.
What does winter look like where you live?
