About this time of year all I really want is a good snow storm... but as luck would have it, a good snow storm is rather illusive as of yet. Which is how I came to remember one of my favorite stories that deals with just this situation. Ollies Ski Trip, by the wonderful Elsa Beskow, is full of winter weather anticipation, and imaginative adventures once the snow arrives...
... this story never grows old, and now that I have discovered the smaller, pocket size version I can take it anywhere!...
...perfect for ski lift rides, ice skating breaks, or perhaps riding along in a sleigh, Ollie's Ski Trip brings our good friends Jack Frost and King Winter to life... and even gives a peak into the wonderful world of ice skate and toboggan crafting...
...best of all, Ollie's Ski Trip opens the doors to all the wonders of winter, and the magic hiding behind every corner.
All that is needed is a warm coat, hat and gloves, and a good imagination...
