Right after Christmas a cold front arrived bringing temperatures from the 50's to minus zero and colder with the wind chill...
... winds gusting 40 to 50 miles per hour ushered in the front. Charlie and Dolly were the only animals wild or tame that did not mind...
... they just stood there, with not a bend in their strong bodies to fight it off. Only their manes gave way to the wind...
... sweet Dolly ended the day with quite the tousled mane...
... and although Charlie's mane is not as long, it could be seen standing straight up at times.
They are truyly amazing animals... so strong and gentle.
The color of the sky before the snow arrived was blue with a tinge of green. So far this winter has been very dry and either very warm or very cold... oh, if it could only make up it's mind.
