When we first moved on to the land ten years ago we were greeted each fall by a large heard of elk moving through on their way to winter grazing. But as time has passed and more developments have sprung up, the elk stopped coming through this way...
That is until a few days ago when this quintet of young bucks discovered the rich sweet grass by the railroad tracks. What a delightful surprise!
The fun only lasted about an hour before they ducked back through the fence lines...
... and on to greener pastures.
