Dark, glowing and curious... as the days get shorter, longer evening hours provide a whole new take on the familiar trees, plants and bushes that we walk past each day.
As if by magic the tall bushy oak tree outside my front door is transformed into an intricate network of thoroughfares and byways...
... while strange little creatures peek out from the under leafy bushes...
... and even my own shadow feels like someone new to meet.
The dark of night transforms all that is familiar, creating new worlds to discover and explore. Although it can be a bit spooky at times, I find myself too curious and exited to be scared at all... but then again, sometimes the dancing leaves against the pavement send me walking quickly back into the glowing windows of my home.
What are the shadows up to in your neighborhood?
