I've noticed something lately, my recycling bin is filling up faster and faster. With all the get togethers, holiday parties and gift giving on its way this trend is sure to stay with me, which is why I decided to do a little something fun with it.
Up-cycling used household items into craft projects and artworks is nothing new, but with so much in the recycle bin, it was worth reminding myself. So I gathered a few supplies from the bin and got to work.
Yesterday's can of black beans became a new glowy luminary...
... while a colorful catalogue spread turned into rows of choppy waves...
... carrying a little boat with a red sail off to distant lands. From afternoon crafts projects to great works of art like Braque's collages and Duchamp's Readymades, trash or treasure is all in the eye of the beholder.
