A few weeks ago I talked about the budding trees all around my neighborhood, and the amazing process going on inside each and every one of those tiny little buds. Since then I have waited, watched and hoped each day that I would soon see what was inside those sweet little pods of wonder...
... and just a few days ago, my patients was rewarded. All at once the world was in bloom. Which made me a little worried when a spring snow storm came though, but when I woke up the morning after, ech bloom was intact. It was as if the trees were saying "thank you" to the snow, for bringing them some much needed moisture.
The warm sun quickly melted the snow away, but here and there, little droplets clung to the branches making them sparkle in the bright light.
I know it happens every year, and will happen for many more to come, but I still can't get over the incredible transformation these trees and buds go through each and every spring. From the first photo in this sequence to the one above, a world of difference in just a few weeks time.
To the potential in spring, and all the wonder it brings!
