Spring has arrived and summer is soon on its heels, which means warm nights, blankets in the grass, and lots of star gazing.
We are always on the lookout for new books, whether they be beautifully illustrated story books, or wonderful and fun educational guides to add to the Family Field Guides area in the store. We comb new book lists, read reviews in newspapers and on the web, but best of all is when one of our fabulous customers suggests one to us. That's how we found out about 365 Starry Nights by Chet Raymo, and we couldn't be more thankful!
The text is informative and straight forward, and the illustrations are fun and imaginative. On the whole this really is an essential book for everyone from the occasional star gazer to the seasoned astronomy buff.
Easy to use, simply flip to the day of the year and get ready to sink into the brilliance of the night sky!
Which is why we think one of you should get a copy!
For a chance to win a copy of this book and the fairy, simply leave a comment on this post by 8am MST Thursday April 12th. The winners will be chosen by random number and announced later that day.
And the winner is Lauri who said:
"I've always wanted to learn more about astronomy, and share it with my daughter."
Thank you to everyone who participated!
~Jordan
