I recently found out that some dear family friends had built a gnome village in their backyard, an soon as I heard I just had to go over and take a peak.
Wooden stumps and branches, combined with local artifacts and a little fairy magic all came together in what might be the coolest gnome village I have seen to date.
Not to mention I had the best tour guide to show me the ins and outs of this fun and inventive play space.
She explained to me that this is where the fairies sleep, usually on beds of lambs ear, but sadly the recent thunderstorm had blown them away.
Next up was the sappy state of the tree's trunk which she tried to clean up for my visit.
And best of all? The LED twinkle lights that brought the magic of this special place to life. I am constantly amazed at how little it takes to make something completely wonderful out of so little. A few logs and branches, a few fun details, and twinkle lights... pure magic, right outside the back door.
