This past week I woke up to something a little bit wonderful... snow! It wasn't much, but none the less, it was snow.
I'm not even sure if it was measurable, and it was gone by noon, but I couldn't help walking around in it until my fingers and toes started to go numb (grabbing a jacket might have also been a good idea).
The white of the snow provided a beautiful contrast to the brightness of the lingering flowers...
... while highlighting all that Autumn has to offer. I can't help but feel like everything is a little early this year. The flocks of blackbirds and crows are early, and the aspens started quite early as well. So I guess it makes sense that the snow would come early too, and as much as I feel like a kid every year it snows for the first time, I'm not quite sure I'm ready for winter just yet.
Although I would gladly take as many of these sunrises as Mother Nature has to offer...
