It was absolutely miserable out. Cold and rainy, with areas of very dense fog. I'm not sure the sun could have won out no matter how hard it tired. Coming from a state where the sun shines 300 days a year, I'm a wimp when it comes to grey days, and I'm okay with that. So I was starting to get pretty down on my 10th day of rain, that is until I saw something marvelous. Something red and vibrant and full of childhood memories...
... my favorite tree in all the world, and Red Maple.
My heart started to flutter when I saw the red leaves lying delicately on the gravel pathway...
... and when I looked up, I could have cried I was so happy to see those vibrant red leaves.
Like a riot of color in protest of a very grey and dreary world.
Thank you Red maple, you made my day!
