Fourth and fifth grades were by far my favorite years of grade school. I had the best of friends, a great teacher, and incredible adventures on every page of the greatest book changing hands from friend to friend. The book was Redwall by Brian Jacques.
The book takes place surrounding the fictional Redwall Abby, where peaceful mice provide care and shelter to other animals in the forest. The mice and their forest friends live a tranquil and happy life, undisturbed by the outside world. That is until the arrival of the evil rat, Cluny, and his equally evil band of followers.
Soon a battle is waged for the heart and soul of Redwall Abbey and all who call it home. Full of unlikely heros, dastardly villains, and adventure on every page, Redwall is a classic tale of good versus evil. Yet what makes this book truly special is its hefty dose of wit and heart. Each character is carefully developed, and every emotion is conveyed with wonderful reality. In short, this book will suck you in.
From the first page to the last, Redwall is impossible to put down. Will the young novice Matthias find the heros sword and save that day? Or will Cluny be the victor? You'll just have to read and find out! Which is why we think one of you should have a copy!
For a chance to win a copy , simply leave a comment on this post by 8am MST Thursday November 15th. The winners will be chosen by random number and announced later that day.
