Easy Pine Cone Beeswax Fire-Starters
- Pine Cones
- Beeswax
- Cold Water
- Cotton String
Collect pine cones on a walk or procure them at your local floral or craft store. After you have your cones, melt the wax in a double boiler (or in a metal bowl over a pot of simmering water). Once the wax is melted, wrap a little string around each pine cone and secure, leaving a long piece on the top to hold on to. Dip each cone first in the wax and then in a bowl of cold water. Repeat this process until you have a good coating of wax on each pine cone. Clip off the excess wick. Wrap in a bag and share them as gifts (the beeswax smell is amazing!).
Happy Friday!
