Every kid needs something to call their own. For some kids it's a bike, for others it's a dog, but for Wilfred, it's a Moose.
A moose he names Marcel. Now Wilfred is a very organized and sophisticated kid. He likes listening to Jackie Wilson, dreaming up awesome adventures to go on with Marcel, and rules, lots of rules...

Pictures books are sweet, and some can be quite poignant, but it is the rare book that combines ingenious characters with vintage style prints and hand-drawn illustrations. The message is clear in this story, you can't have everything just the way you want it, but when you really need it, the right things fall into place. Unlikely and impractical friendships are often the best kinds. Wilfred and Marcel are no exception, but the pairing is nonetheless smile and giggle-worthy at every turn of the page. From apple picking to following the string back home, and all the tangled mess in between, This Moose Belongs to Me by Oliver Jeffers is a story that the kiddos will want to read again and again.
