We've all been there, that moment you lose your first tooth. And then the next morning, as we each felt under our pillows for a coin or treat left by none other than the Tooth Fairy Her/Himself.
Most cultures and peoples throughout history have had some tradition surrounding the loss of baby teeth. The appearance of what we in the states have come to call the Tooth Fairy, is actually fairly recent. Well, if you count the early 19th century as recent.
Since that time, and it seems more so these days, the Tooth Fairy is mentioned in hushed and reverent tones akin to those reserved for Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny.
So, to celebrate this beloved little sprite, our resident fairy artisan has crafted a few variations on the idea and tradition, including the sweetest tooth pillow we ever did see.
Handmade with wool from Bryn Du Farm in CO, our Tooth Fairy and Tooth Pillow are the perfect combination to help little ones through life's first right of passage. Which is why we just have to share!
To enter to win a one of these lovely handmade Tooth Fairies and Tooth Pillows, simply leave a comment on this blog by Thursday March 12th by 8am. The winner will be chosen by the lovely Random Number Generator and announced later that day.
We have a winner! The winner is Carly who wrote...
"How adorable!"
Thank you to everyone who participated!
