This one is near and dear to my heart. It has been an honor to curate this portion of the blog for the past 4 years. And I can't begin to tell you how excited I still get every time I find a new book to share, or rediscover an old favorite.
But Tell Me a Story is more than that. Stories are how we keep track of what is important, they are the synapses that tie the disparate parts of our lives together. Stories are the connections that create meaning in this crazy and chaotic world we live in.
And that's just for adults. For children, stories are so much more. Good stories teach little ones the ABC's of life. They teach them how to navigate the scary parts, and make the most of the good ones. Make them laugh when they've had a bad day, and help them drift off to sleep so they can tackle what the world has to offer the next.

Good books inspire, uplift, call into question, analyze, teach, and most of all. . .

. . . they make us think. Think in ways we might not have yet considered, or knew we even could.

This world is only getting bigger, and more complicated to navigate. . .

. . . so the place of good books and stories gains more importance by the day.
I still remember my favorite storybook from when I was a little girl, and the lessons I learned from it. And I promise you, years from now, this generation's little ones will too. They may not remember that cool app, or that fun game on their smart phones, but they will most definitely remember the first story that made them think.
And to help you find more great books that make you think and dream, we've organized all of our past book reviews into a quick and easy reference guide. Take a minute to explore the new index, there are a lot of great books in there!
Thank you for reading along with us, and I hope you'll tag along as we continue our grand literary adventure.
Happy Reading!
