Oh we love this book so! We have been friends with Donni over at The Magic Onions blog for while now, and we just love all the beautiful crafts and activities she creates and shares with the world. So when we heard she was directing that creativity into a book...
... we just had to get our hands on a copy! Donni also happens to run the Fairy Gardens website, blog, and shop, which is completely delightful in and of itself, so it's no wonder this book is simply magic. In all, Donni features seven different fairy garden tutorials to inspire all walks of fairy, elf, and gnome lovers. From Gourdy Gnome Homes, to a traditional flower fairy garden, all the way to a desert friendly option, each garden idea is simple, fun, and easy to create.
Each tutorial is enchanting, but I have to admit, I have a favorite... The Kindness Garden. To quote Donni from the book: "Extraordinary things happen when we are kind to others, unbidden. Our hearts swell with happiness, and goodwill follows us like a butterfly that alights on us again and again, long after we have forgotten our selfless act." With all the crazy this world seems to offer up each day, this quote and this lovely garden idea truly touched my heart, and inspired me to plot a kindness garden of my own.
It's no secret we love fairies and all the magic that goes with them. From our own lovely, handmade Fairies, to fairy garden kits of all sorts, we are so excited to add this delightful book to our collection of fairy offerings.
